Why Choose Pyramid Dyeworks Yarn?

Natural Ingredients

Dyes used on Pyramid Dyeworks wool are natural dyes. Dyes are created by using raw plant materials and sometimes insects to create colors in a traditional method that was used before the advent of synthetic dyes in the mid-1800’s.

Small Batch

Each skein of yarn is dyed in small batches in my home studio. This creates a unique color as unique as your next project. Colors may vary between dyelots - if you’re looking for a larger quantity, I can dye up to 10 skeins in one lot, just ask!

Domestic Wool

All wool used in Pyramid Dyeworks products are a product on the US. The wool is from the Targhee sheep breed. The wool is produced on ranches in the western US and milled in Maine.
